Joseph Caruso is a Director of Zurich Bay Holdings Pty Ltd and Construction Manager of Simto Australia Pty Ltd, both which are involved in mining, earthmoving and civil engineering construction earthworks. He has considerable experience in managing and administration of engineering, mining, raw materials production operations, earthmoving and related infrastructure utilities services resource contracts. Joseph was appointed as Non-Executive Director of Mineral Commodities Ltd in September 2000.
Mr Mark Caruso has extensive experience in all disciplines of mining, earthmoving and civil engineering construction earthworks. He has a proven track history of project discovery, delivering and financing projects from exploration through construction into operation in developing and emerging countries on time and on budget. In addition to his role at MSCS Mark has been a Director of Mineral Commodities Ltd since September 2000. He was previously the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allied Gold Mining PLC (AGMP), responsible for the delivery of the Gold Ridge Project in the Solomon Islands and the Simberi Gold Project in Papua New Guinea. After a successful merger with between St Barbara and AGMP in 2012, he assumed the position of Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mineral Commodities Ltd in August 2012.
Matthew has over 18 years’ experience in the civil mining and construction industry, with a record of exceeding client expectations for a broad range of complex projects. With strong leadership qualities and communication skills, Matthew has proven himself to be a highly effective manager across many disciplines. During his time at Mine Site Construction Services, Matthew developed a state of the art internal database management system that enabled the company to achieve a significant competitive advantage due to the effective utilisation of their resources, both human and mechanical.

Commencing his career as a Surveyors assistant in 1980, he worked his way through mobile plant operations and became a proficient all-rounder before taking on team leading roles on civil construction sites across subdivision and urban developments , mining and resources development, oil and gas infrastructure development, underground infrastructure services sectors and major highway/freeway and Rail projects all over Australia and in New Zealand. Shane now draws on his vast experience to oversee all of MSCS Civil operations while also assisting heavily with Mining operations.

Recruitment and selection of candidates for a broad range of positions required within the areas of Mechanical Support, through to Mining / Construction management including production workers and Office Administration.

Negotiating with applicants and contractors rates of pay, conditions and other flexible variables.
Ongoing Industrial Relations with employees and union groups dealing with anything from renewing agreements through to matters concerning the rights, duties and obligations of the employer and employees.
Organise medicals within the state and nationally depending on where candidates were sourced, including site-specific clearances, drug testing and police clearances.
Coordinate the induction and competency testing of new employee’s to the requirements of the organisations policies and procedures.
Manage all project related travel, rosters and mobilisation requirements.

Health, Safety and Environment Manager with over 20 years’ experience in the mining and resource industry with +15 years in the field of HSE. Predominately working in a contracting capacity, Luke has extensive management experience in large organisations across Australia. Possessing multiple skills covering many fields including; project and risk management, organisation management, coaching, mentoring and development. Highly motivated with a safety and business focus coupled with excellent people and resource management skills, Luke has extensive experience in-field and brings a mix of technical ability, operational knowledge and stakeholder management to the role.
Contract Management and Site Supervision on all projects undertaken by Simto / MSCS since July 1993. Various Projects including work for Argyle Diamond Mines and Pasminco Mining. Responsible for contract administration, site supervision, job costing and client accounts liaison. James has been involved with numerous roads, mining, civil and rehabilitation projects during his employment with Simto / MSCS and other companies.
Ashley has an overall experience of 8 years in Engineering, starting at MSCS as a Graduate engineer Ashley now assists in all aspects of Tenders, Contract allocation, Pre – starts, QA/QC auditing, job costing and budgeting.
